Success Guide: Get Paid Faster - Pure Invoices Docs
Professional tips and tricks to help local pros get the most out of Pure Invoices.
Moving your business to a digital platform isn’t just about saving paper—it’s about improving your cash flow and looking like a pro. Here are the top strategies used by our most successful users (painters, landscapers, and consultants) to get paid within minutes of finishing a job.
1. The “On-Site” Send
Don’t wait until you get home to “do the books.” The best time to send an invoice is while you are still standing with the client.
- How to do it: Open the invoice link on your phone, click “Copy Link”, and text it directly to your client before you leave their driveway.
- Why it works: The job is fresh in their mind, they’re happy with the work, and they can pay you while they’re still holding their phone.
2. Pick the Right Due Date
“Net 30” (paying in 30 days) is for big corporations. For local services, shorter is better.
- Our Recommendation: Most pros find that “Due on Receipt” or “7 Days” works best. It sets a clear expectation that payment is part of the job completion.
3. Use “Friendly” Reminders
Sometimes clients just get busy. It’s not personal!
- How to do it: If an invoice is a few days overdue, use the “Send Reminder” button.
- The Secret: Our reminder emails are designed to be polite and helpful, not aggressive. It’s often the small nudge a client needs to remember to tap that “Pay” button.
4. Professional Branding Matters
An invoice with a logo and your brand colors is much harder to ignore than a plain text email.
- Checklist: Ensure you’ve uploaded your logo and set your brand color in Settings. It makes your “Secure Link” look like a premium portal, which justifies your premium rates.
